PRODUCTS - MOSAIC D'ASOLO
Excellence in design
Wooden mosaics are a new product. They open manifold prospects for the work of both designers and anyone who appreciates the warmth and natural effect of wood in any living or working
environment.The chromatic and tactile choices are guaranteed by the wide range of valuable woods used for finishing the tiles, further enriched by the different measurements of the insets used to create the different mosaics.
The support structure for the insets permits the tiles to “move” freely, releasing the material from simply a flat position and enabling it to follow a wide variety of shapes.
The result is a product which is alive, both owing to the material used – wood, and because it will adapt to the space in which it is laid, in any position a designer or potential client can imagine.
All colour samples are indicative only and, as such, not a binding obligation, and may vary over the years without the need for prior notice.
Qualitatively correspondent to European Standard EN 13489.Acrylic painting.

Production of wooden mosaic has always been enviromentaly friendly. It features cutting-edge plant and technology and primary materials carefully chosen to safeguard the environment and guarantee quality, the producer is always ready to invest to ecological production.
Environmental issues have always been a major concern for mosaics´producer, and not surprisingly given how important a resource such as wood is for our world.
So guaranteeing their high product quality, while employing production processes designed to minimise environmental impact, both locally and on a global level, has been a long-standing goal for the producer.
With this approach, it is producer´s firm belief that to adopt and uphold an Environmental Management System compliant with UNI EN ISO 14001, constitutes a guarantee for its customers and all parties concerned that its organization is geared towards continuously improving both the effectiveness of its management system and its performance in environmental matters.
More specifically, the Management believes all company operations should be based on the following principles:
- ensuring all business is conducted in compliance with the environmental and safety legislation currently in force, as well as internal procedures and requirements
- aim to use raw materials whose effects on the environment are limited or which have been sourced from production systems oriented towards environmental protection;
- adopting management strategies which tend to curb or contain air emissions;
- minimizing the production of internally generated waste through material recovery or recycling procedures;
- encouraging constructive dialogue with the local community and involve staff in the creation of the Environmental Management System by heightening awareness of environmental protection and safeguard issues;
- encouraging the participation of suppliers and contractors, and increase their sensitivity to the environmental management system, in particular the major suppliers in the production chain.
Additional information
Dark stuccoes on light woods and light stuccoes on dark woods may leave residues on mosaic tiles.
After laying, Crespano Parchetti srl recommends frequently changing the water used to wash the floor, and the felt or sponge once soaked in product.
Final cleaning using alcohol or soap and water must be carried out within 24 hours.
Mosaic sheets to lay using cement glue, of the following types: LATICMESH: KERACOL: H40 TEMAX - TECHNOKOLLA: All-7000 - MAPEI: ADESILEX P10 + ISOLASTIC
Foundations and supports must be dry at the time of laying and remain dry during work. Residual humidity, infi ltrations of water and condensation should be prevented. The support must be suitably prepared, according to its nature and characteristics.
DO NOT lay Mosaici d’Asolo where it will be wet continuously and repeatedly with water, e.g. showers, saunas,etc..
Sealant for Grouting
Anti-acid, two-component epossidic litho-chrome Starlike-type stucco, of a matching colour. If a single element of the mosaic is to be sawn ( ), seal the wood using a “sigilpark” type sealant manufactured by S.L.C.
Cleaning mosaics treated using litho-chrome Starlike sealant:
1. After having sealed the grouting ( ), clean immediately using white felt soaked in clean water in order to remove any excess product. This work is easier if a water and neutral liquid soap solution is used.
2. Clean again immediately afterwards, using a damp cellulose sponge fi nishing off the surface of the stucco work.
3. Any transparent marks/rings remaining on the surface of the tiles must be removed within 24 hours (once the sealant has partially hardened) using either denatured ethyl alcohol or a water and neutral soap solution, and Scotch-brite type sponge. The surface must be dried immediately using a cloth to prevent the liquid from settling on the tiles.
Warnings: Frequently change the washing water. Change the felt or sponge once soaked in the product. Do not wait more than 24 hours before carrying out fi nal cleaning using alcohol or soap and water.
Ordinary maintenance:
Use a cloth dampened with water and a non-aggressive detergent for ordinary maintenance. Do not use alcohol-based products as they will quickly damage the surface of the mosaic, causing rapid aging.
Stuccoing advice:
Dark stuccoes on light woods and light stuccoes on dark woods may leave product residues on the mosaic tiles.
